Hey guys, I’m female (20) and noticed that my hair on the left side of my scalp is thinning. The rest of my scalp is healthy. What causes thinning hair?

Are you really stressed right now? It might be that.

Or if you dye your hair a lot, that might be why, too.

do you sleep on your left side?

go see a physician. you can never be too careful

Do you eat a balanced diet? Some vitamin deficiencies can thin hair.

Well, I have a sleeping cap right now. I’m gonna wear that when I go to bed for now on. I just hope it’s not a thyroid problem (but then my hair should be breaking out all over…ugh!!!)

I’ve just confirmed it: I do have a greater tendency of sleeping on my left side.

well, 20 is too young to have hair loss. Do you use excessive chemical products for your hair , like gel and hairspay? That could be the problem.

I’m a girl and I have hair loss too. It falls a lot especially when I take a shower but I guess I’m lucky that my hair is too thick that nobody really notice and it doesn’t look like there is less hair so I don’t care.
