Third-Party Ads Give Facebook an 'Image' Problem

“Facebook’s more than 200 million users have been warn[ed] that third-party advertisers [have been] creating advertisements with users’ profile photos without permission.”

I think there’s a way to block this. I clicked somewhere that they don’t have permission to use my picture/name.

If you’d have read the article, or even glanced over it, you’d have seen several references to how you can block it.

Privacy > News Feed and Wall > Facebook Ads

I just went there to make sure it was right and this popped up:

By the way, you can block all Facebook ads with [this script](<a href=“Dance Party”>Dance Party) for Greasemonkey. And don’t forget about Adblock Plus/url.

Moderately off topic, I’ve always wondered where they get those pictures on those ads that are like “Hey WantsBrown, look at this girl in your hometown. Yeah, you like that don’t you?”
And I’m like “I shure do! Sign me up, buddy!”
And then they’re like “Psyche!”
And then I die a little on the inside.

why is this super-sticky?

Because the OP is a “CC Senior Advisor”, whatever that means.

I’ve noticed that only threads they make are put in the hot topic section.
