Third time SAT with not so good grades?

Hi, all. My grades are just ok (about 3.4 for junior year w/ 3 AP’s and honors), and my first SAT score was 2000, my second one (i felt VERY sick that day) was just 2040. My dad, in a fit of madness, sent those scores via CollegeBoard.com to Virginia Tech already! Let’s say I take a prep course this summer and get 2200+ on my SAT’s (expecting an 800 in math), and I send my third SAT to them. Will it be extremely obvious that I took a prep course and got a higher score that way, and will the fact that my grades aren’t very good cause them to be even more suspicious and cause them to look down on me? Another question, is there any way to use score choice and pull those scores back? Thank you, as my SAT is my only hope right now, and my dad made sure i f$%$%ed that one up too!

It’s not obvious that you took a prep course… Tons of people go from 2000 -> 2200 without taking a class

bizzump…

Don’t worry dude. I am going from a 1800 to around a 2200 without any prep, and I doubt they will think any less of me for it. If you have the resources to make that jump, do it, because God knows some of the thousands of applicants will not hold back.
