"this is the worst essay i've ever read"

That’s what one of my friends said after reading my essay. Just kidding  I didn’t really get much feedback for my essay yet. Would anyone mind reading my common app essay and giving me some feedback? Either PM me or post below if you want to read it. Thanks!

BTW, I’m only sending this to people who have already graduated from High school, because I want advice from people who have gone through the college app process.

Translation: I don’t trust high schoolers not to steal my essay

Yeah sure why not. Just PM me.

Translation: I wanna look at other people’s essays to get ideas on what to write so I made a username that will convince a few dimwits that I actually graduated from college in 1990 despite the fact that I am a new member who made this account in October of 2011.

Sorry for seeming rude, but berkeley grad, u do not seem convincing to have graduated.
Your account was recently made and all your posts are from the college essay section.

In short, you are the type of person that the stickied post is warning us of.

No offense if you are indeed a berkeley graduate =)

Or Berkeley grad could be a grad of Berkeley in 1990 who has a kid in high school.

I graduated from college in 90’s, even though I started well before that. (unconventional student, btw) and have kids that are in college, presently. You never know. Perhaps Berkeley grad is an English teacher.

I don’t know - I haven’t read Berkeley’s posts about essays.

^Nah, if you look at his posts, they’re all pretty the same thing: “sure, PM [your essay] to me.” Plus he made his account yesterday. Kids like him are one of the reasons why I’m hesitant about sending my essays to random highschoolers :(

I honestly have no idea why any of you who are applying to college would ever trust ANYONE to read your essay or even offer you chances of admission.

It is comical. None of you have attended college and yet you are often putting your chances of getting there on people exactly like you.

It’s the internet - people can lie about who they are, steal your essays or just psych you out and think you aren’t as worthy for admissions.
