<p>I was going to apply to the Stanford Youth Med program. I completed the whole application and wrote all 4 of the essays and the just read what the last one is. It says “How has your family being low income affected you?” Or something like that. Im not even close to low income :|</p>
<p>Sorry to hear about that. It almost seems discriminatory when many neat programs focus only on low-income kids. They should take quality kids and give low income kids some scholarships or something but don’t keep the quality “rich” kids out.</p>
<p>The Stanford Med Program is specifically designed for low income students. But I completely agree, I think it’s ridiculous. I would have applied but I don’t qualify. Ahh well there are other programs. You could probably even recycle some of the essays you wrote and apply to others.</p>
