<p>Agree, except Crohn’s diagnosis really stinks…wishing for the best for her…</p>
<p>How did she manage to take samples of her own intestinal tissue? I never got to do that in HS. Boo.</p>

<p>Yes, I didn’t mean to take it lightly–our good friend has Crohn’s and it is so debilitating. She’ll likely be a remarkable nurse.</p>

As for Terry’s future, she’ll start nursing school in the fall. She’s written a book for children about Crohn’s disease, which she hopes to have published. In the meantime, she’s grateful for her science class and for the pathologist for giving her her slides.

<p>Let’s hope that she is attending a college that accommodates students with chronic illnesses. College love kids like this, but then have no legal obligation to support them as they struggle through college with pain or other problems (for instance, getting notes from class, or postponing a test).</p>
