Yes, we need a lot more people like this young man! I wish him the very best for a great future! Thanks for finding this gem!

Wow, what a moving story.

What a great kid! I’m crying too.

I read that yesterday. Isn’t it amazing? What a wonderful young man, and what a wonderful community that brought the young man and the family together.

Me too. Catholic schools serve a purpose. They try to teach their students it’s about more than the almighty dollar.

What a beautiful story. My husband just asked me why I’m crying.

Thank you for posting this beautiful story!

Truly beautiful.

As the sister, sister-in-law, and aunt of 3 severely disabled men, I found this very touching. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers and (underpaid) attendants who help care for the disabled!

If no one in this child’s family can carry him up and down the stairs, isn’t it a hazard for him to be sleeping on the second floor? What happens if there’s a fire?

It’s possible that the father or mother could carry him in an emergency (or even slide down the steps with him on their lap), but not without causing or risking some harm to either them or him. If the house is on fire, those risks would be worth it.
