this may seem silly but....

how do I find out which instructor I have for a certain course? is it like I go to class that's how I find out? or do I get some sort of more detailed schedule later?

Go to the course catalog and search your specific course. About three lines down it'll say faculty with a name.

Think you mean the schedule.berkeley.edu entry. Course Catalog are enduring entries not specific to a semester. Some courses have only one professor and they might be listed but others switch every semester. Entire departments list without any instructor names on catalog - for example dept of chemistry.

On the other hand, the schedule listing for the specific semester is more likely to have that information. It does change sometimes - be warned - also some classes may simply list 'staff'.

All the ones I'm enrolled in have multiple instructors and when I looked at the general catalog, it doesn't say which instructor I have. So I guess I just go to class and then find out
