I find the selfie stick to be obnoxious and for self absorbed people. go someplace and enjoy it, stop snapping photos of yourself and now with the selfie stick the narcissism and interference with strangers is taken to a new level!

Agree. I was hit in the head with one of these recently (fortunately just a glancing blow), but in crowded tourist spots, it’s dangerous.

Actually, selfie sticks PROPERLY and RESPONSIBLY used are a good thing. We used it on our trip and found it very helpful. H has never hit anyone with his so far after using it dozens of times.
The problem with them is that 90+% of people do not use them properly. Imagine a bunch of people with selfie sticks riding rollercoasters…
