This thread has an interesting title. (I'll chance back)

I’ll chance what I know:

Claremont McKenna: mid match (merit: reach)
Pomona College: high match
Stanford: high reach
Princeton: high reach
Tulane: safety (merit: match)
Rice: low match (merit: match)
UMiami*: safety (merit: safety)
WUSTL: match (merit: reach)
Emory*: low match (merit: match)

wow you have some good stuff there lol Idk some of the college you mentioned but i think you have a good chance at UCLA, Tulane, UMiami, Emory (you can get some scholarship there with gpa of 3.75+ but it’s private so it won’t be much).

You got really great stats overall man. I couldn’t imagine declining you:) Princeton and USC are probably the only schools that might go all weird on you and decline you, but you’ll have to see.

Princeton - ditto stanford
Tulane** - in
Rice* - high match
UMiami** - in
WUSTL* - high match
Emory* - match/high match (apply to oxford college at emory for a 58% acceptance rate, and you still get your degree from Emory)

you have a really good resume

chance me back por favor? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1170175-another-chance-thread-chances-cornell-penn-duke-johns-hopkins.html

Wow, awesome stats.

Ill only bring uup the possible reaches, since your for sure in at everything else.

Stanford - reach but just as good of a chance as anyone
UNC- very tough OOS, but your stats put you through IMO High Match
Princeton- its princeton, similar to stabnford, low reach
Rice - high math
Emory - match

Would surprise me if you got into all five, but realistically expect to get into one of Stanford/UNC/Princeton, anything else would be gravy

EC’s are a bit scattered for an ivy school. languages is your only real substantial EC it seems that you’ve committed to

good stats, gpa may be a bit low though :frowning:
however, your sat scores would be good enough to get you in for all those state schools on your list.
ivies are a long shot but its that way for everyone.

I only know UCLA and UCB semi well, and I’d say you pretty close to a shoe-in for those schools.

Bump. xD 10chars

Bump again. Please chance! I’ll chance back. ;p

(While I do know the general selectivities of most of these schools, I’m not familiar enough with the values/ admissions processes of all these West coast schools enough to give you percentages :()

Claremont McKenna: unfamiliar; sorry!
Pomona College: match
USC: match
Stanford: reach
Princeton: reach
Tulane" in
Rice: low reach
UMiami** in
WUSTL: high match
Emory: match

The only real even remote problem I see is the ECs. They’re by no means lacking, but I fear the very competitive schools will wish to see more “passion” in one specific area. Also, what’s your GPA?

My total GPA as of the end of junior year is:
4.35 weighted GPA
3.85 unweighted GPA

My predicted GPA of 1st semester senior year:
4.44 weighted
3.86-8 unweighted

UCLA - High match/Low reach. I know kids that got in with much worse stats, however.
UCB - Unfamiliar, sorry!
UNC-Chapel Hill* - High match/Low Reach. I would doubt much merit aid since it’s such a great school, but I’m sure you won’t be empty handed.
Claremont McKenna* - Also unfamiliar, sorry!
Pomona College - Match
USC* - Low match/High Safety, should get some good aid.
Stanford - Reach, but for everyone. Just emphasize your leadership in your EC’s, and you have just a good a chance as every other person with amazing stats applying (lol)
Princeton - Reach, see above.
Tulane** - in , good aid
Rice* - low reach, I doubt much merit aid.
UMiami** - in, good aid
WUSTL* - high match, some aid
Emory* - high match/low reach, some aid as well.

UCLA: Match
UCB: High match
UNC-Chapel Hill: Match
Claremont McKenna: low Match
Pomona College: high Match
USC: Match
Stanford & Princeton: Reach, but not more of one than anyone else. Btw, Princeton’s grade deflation is apparently miserable. I’d look into that.
Tulane: In
Rice: Match
UMiami: In
WUSTL: In
Emory: High match

I expect that you’ll get aid in most places that they offer it… At least merit-wise. great stats and good ECs

^ I think I’m changing Princeton to Cornell. I’m a strong legacy at Cornell. Problem is I will get almost nothing (between $1,000 and $12,000) in ****ty financial aid (bad work-study plus loans).

If I have a shot at my schools, you’re in no problem. Your grades, test scores, and taking 12 AP classes will make you an awesome contender.

I can’t speak on the others, but I visited Chap Hill last week and they said that rigor of classes and making high marks in them (though they don’t pay much attention to GPA at all because it’s so different across the nation) and essays are their top 2 priorities. As long as your essay is as good as you say it’ll be, you’re in. Dunno if you’ve looked into it at all, but they’ll be using common app for the first time this year.

I think Princeton is a little bit of a reach but everything else i think you’re most likely in. Nice APS and ECS, i wouldnt send your math 2 though. Besides that everything else is amazing.
