Ummm, asif, most history teachers I’ve talked to majored in social science not because they were nationalistic, but because they wanted to learn more about the truth on a matter that interested them the most. And for them, it wasn’t math, it wasn’t science, it wasn’t literature, it was history. The truth in history (which is not of one view, the truth is the understanding of all the different views) intrigued them, not nationalism.

nyu, c’mon, I never meant it like that. i just tried to say that if they don’t have nationalistic feeling, it is tough to pull out a major in social sciences since basically a lot deals w/ us history and stuffs. isn’t it? my civics teacher is one of my favorite and I know why they choose history, as for her, she was horrible w/ spelling, that’s why she took soc studies rather than english! I didn’t really tried to say that nationalism is like the inspiration, if so, rn’t then all other people ‘unnationalistic’ lol! never mind, i’m rather jeopardizing myself!

@ asif - I am not nationalistic… I am not even going to vote after I grow up…

yay naidu is applying to MIT!

I might see you… probably not since you are a senior…

haha, hopefully I would have graduated by then XD

I might see you------waoh! seems like PD is also boa****ll! well, it’s not always bad though, u may just deserve so. (i don’t know abt ur stats except that u made 800 in CR which u’ve mentioned SO MANy times! ;))

anyway, what’s the avg SAT score for MIT?

I have no idea now that the SAT’s changed to 2400 :p

Maybe it’s somewhere on the website!

Hey I am not boa****l… infact I just had a conversation with collegeguy about how I am not going to get into MIT

I went to the MIt website once and twice and I really liked it! so organized and neat! PD, do u know?
CG, is it really different to attend an elite school vs. attending a big state school? I’m rather thinking of Duke, UNC, JHU, Stanford–sorta.

what does boa****** mean???

:o

It probably is different in some ways. We aren’t in that sports division, so attending a big sports school like UofM would probably be different. Case in point: we don’t have a stadium inasmuch as we have high-school style bleachers. We still have teams though! Just more for fun.

Also we are more of a mid-size school. Undergrad classes of about 4,000 versus some of the larger ones I hear can get up to 30,000.

Finally, I think we may have more of a concentration of students in the engineering and technical majors than you might with a larger school which has more people to spread around ;)

Bunch of smart people though! Lots of people sharing your interests and goals.

I have no idea…

CG, b–o-a-s-t-f-u-l

my bad, I was supposed to say u as FPPS, (sounds like a terminology from AP Comp Sci!)

Boa****l—exhibiting self-importance; “big talk”

I took Comp sci… there are no terminologies that don’t sound like an actual word…

which AP u didn’t take? lol! did u like comp sci? I am thinking of taking it, but not sure!

I hated it, ruined my sophomore year –> Comp sci A that is…
But then I had a HORRIBLE teacher so I had to self-study the subject that I was coerced into taking by my father… <- that’s anoter reason why I hated it…

PD, I just saw that I made the 2200th post! yay! (not actually!) the thread lost all its real spirit and still dragged on s-l-o-w-l-y—like a reluctant, I don’t know like a reluctant what! lol!

I got nothin’

nah, don’t like it, make it interesante! wat lang did u take by the way? latin or french? probably french right?
