<p>I’d write about how you should tell the truth regardless of circumstances. The two examples I’d bring up would be the Nixon Administration during the Watergate Affair and Arthur Dimmsdale from The Scarlet Letter as people who didn’t tell the truth because of the circumstances surrounding them and suffered because of this.</p>
<p>That being said, thank god I’ve been done with SATs for almost a year now :-).</p>
<p>I wrote about how lying led to the destruction of the character Willy Loman in Arthur Miller’s “Death of a Salesman”. I also talked about how if Newton and Leibniz had worked together instead of competing with each other due to a rivalry and distrust the world of mathematics would have been a better place

<p>I had the same essay and kept thinking about the Liar Liar movie, where Jim Carey farted on the elevater and said, “It was me.” lol Anyway, I said that one shouldn’t always tell the truth and also mentioned little ‘white’ lies. Anyone else??? What countries took this essay assignment? I’m in Egypt!!!</p>

<p>That was mine. I wrote two longish (body) paragraphs- one about the Great Gatsby (so cliche, I know =D) and the other about a personal experience.</p>
<p>Am I screwed? I got the materialism essay but I didn’t directly state “yes society should be criticized for being materialistic” I just stated how materialism was bad.</p>
