<p>Is the Library open 24/7? I don’t think I’ll be able to do much studying in my dorm and I tend to be the one to stay up late studying/doing my work. </p>
<p>Also, I hear so much about 5 points and I really don’t even know what it exactly is, and why is it so big at USC?</p>
<p>Yes the library is open 24/7. I’ve pulled a few all-nighters there.</p>
<p>Officially I’m supposed to say that 5 Points is “A stretch of local businesses and restaurants on Devine street. A popular hang-out area of Columbia for students.” Lovely place during the day, really.</p>
<p>Unofficially, it’s a couple blocks of bars and late-night dining that students get wasted at on the daily. Did you know that USC has the highest average of students who drink on Tuesdays of any university in America? It’s basically just the downtown area, and it’s literally right next to the campus so that’s why it’s so popular. There’s also the Vista, but that’s a bit more upscale.</p>
