<p>I would love to hear from others or parents of others who were accepted to Thorton School of Music. My S just heard that he got in to the Popular Music Program. He is very excited! We were so impressed with the program. He auditioned as a singer/songwriter. In the acceptance packet I didn’t notice any specific Explore event for the music school. Does someone happen to know if there is anything for Thorton?</p>
<p>poprockmom, when you go to Explore, which I highly recommend, you and your S will be with the Thornton group. You will go on a tour with them, meet other accepted music students, etc. You will also dine with them at the Thornton “table.” It was a blast. There will also be specific Thornton meet-ups during Welcome Week, once matriculated. My son is a sophomore in the program, and it’s amazing.</p>

<p>S Jazz Studies, Piano - March Explore was as JazzShredder described - definitely go if you can! Get full tour of the new practice facilities and great time mingling with other Thornton parents.</p>
