Thoughts on Fairfield Univ. compared to Providence College

Hi all. There have been some older posts, but was hoping to hear from current students and or parents regarding thoughts on Fairfield University compared to Providence College.

If these appear to be very similar schools. What do folks think about class size, professor access, career center, dorms, social aspects, food, etc … between these two schools?

Note, my daughter considering Business, Political Science/ Government, or maybe Commincations focus… she is not looking at nursing or other core science areas of study.

Thank you.

Any current families (students or parents) have a view as to the various pros and cons of Fairfield compared to Providence College?

Thank you.

I am curious about this also. My daughter goes to Fairfield but for nursing, which Providence didn’t have at the time, so it wasn’t an option. Although not business, my daughter has found her professors very accessible, enjoys the food and made quite a few good friend. There usually seems to be something going on, the dorms are nice and get progressively nicer in higher grades. For my son, who applied to both Fairifleld and Providence for Fall 2024 for Accounting, the downside of Fairfield is the lack of D1 sports other than hockey.

I’m curious to hear thoughts from others as well. My daughter is deciding between these two schools. They are similar in many ways.
