***Thread For BS/MD/DO 2023-2024 Applicants/Parents ***

I think it is better than Nova. Nova BS/MD is new this year and our guys will be the first batch. Nova also has an interview requirement. I think (didn’t look into it) there will be a big difference in the $s too since Nova is private and FAU is public.

A kind reminder… For many reasons, not least of which is privacy, asking for a friend posts are not allowed. Users are permitted to ask questions only for themselves or their dependents. Thanks for your understanding.

Congratulations.

They have started notifying for other feeder schools as well.

When was your interview ?

Could you kindly inform us about the date of your interview? Additionally, have you already attended the AMC information session or did you receive that email yesterday? We’re trying to figure out if they’ve started sending it to people who had interviews in January and went to the AMC session in February.

I interviewed on January 11 (second earliest interview date offered), and attended the February info session. I’m guessing they have only made decisions on those who interviewed in early January.

Hmm! How is the experience of UOFSC, still in consideration for the BS degree

Looked at the nova requirement once again and looks like there is no interview requirement, which makes it true bs/md

But it comes with disclaimer
Keep in mind that these are the basic requirements. Final determination of admission into the professional program is at the discretion of the Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Allopathic Medicine.

More confusing

There will be an interview for getting into med school for Nova BS/MD.

it does not show that interview is needed in this page, I may not be looking at the right place

They tell you when you go for the interview.

The Florida programs are not guaranteed MD admits. I know of students who interviewed and didn’t make the cut even though they had scores to make it to the Medschool interview

Wondering what will be the advise to ORM KID who got only FAU , and rejected every where except USF?
Looks like they have sign by March 15’th the acceptance , wondering what will happen if they get better school , are they binding like ED?

If FAU is the only option other than USF (I am assuming you mean honors because you have to be in honors to qualify for the bsmd) I would take it. There are kids who got a full ride to both undergrad and med school (with a higher than qualifying MCAT score) there. Wilkes honors college is nicer than some of the other bsmd undergrads

I would also like to hear from experts about the March 15th signing requirement. It can’t be binding because we are not paying enrollment deposit or anything right?
