***Thread For BS/MD/DO 2023-2024 Applicants/Parents ***

FAU is conditional and has an interview and few kids will not make it,

How about NOVA ? I heard it is not conditional and does it have interview?

FAU has two campuses and honors program has very few students and will not have college experience ,
Neither school rankings are great , but heard NOVA has nice resident boarding houses

How about the costs? FAU costs come to less than 25k per year for under graduate college,

Nova has an interview too and this is the first year they are offering BSMD. FAU honors college has mandatory research component with published research. Nova - presidential scholarship so will only have to pay personal expenses like travel and incidentals; FAU complete COA covered with benaquisto scholarship. Nova 8 years; FAU 7 years. In both students are allowed to apply out. Nova shared rooms; FAU honors college single room in apartment style boarding.

SBU/GW program has been discontinued.

Do we have the new 2024-25 thread set up? @texaspg @Roentgen

RPI/AMC sent out acceptances to students on BSMD waitlist 2 days ago, I guess it is rolling basis, but they give only 3 days to decide.

Will do later today.

They both look the same , except FAU is around for a while and as instate fee may be cheaper for FAU med school , also not sure how many BS MD NOVA students are enrolled as their BS DO is infamous for taking more and weed out
I hope you visited both schools and you may need to select the best fit.

It is normal to give 2-3 days for waitlisted candidates to decide.
RPI/AMC is a great program.

where do you see that?

I had reached out to SBU when I did not see it on their website.
They confirmed they have discontinued it.

Wow.. thanks for the update.
