<p>After facing stiff competition, about 18 percent of this year’s owl applicant pool will join the Class of 2015, weeks before O-Week begins for the rest of the freshmen.</p>

<p>Well shouldn’t it be yield rate x acceptance rate, meaning about 8-9%.</p>

<p>BlizzaP, you may be absolutely right. I heard that legacy played a very strong role in
baby owl admissions. Not sure how fair this is …</p>
