It’s my hometown and it makes me so sad.
I don’t know how the cops are going to find this terrorist. The bombings seem random. At some point he’ll make a mistake and get caught … but that could be a long time in the future (Unabomber). Maybe the FedEx bombing will be the mistake.
We have so much more technology now. It will be much harder to go on for a long period of time. Also, these events seem to be coming fast and furious and in the same geographic area, which should help authorities.
Things are a bit crazy in Austin today. Someone saw a lunch box on the side of the road in the next subdivision up the road from us and they had to call the police to investigate and closed the road. They know the Fed EX store the package was shipped from and I’m sure the must have surveillance cameras so I hope they catch this person soon! I do have my doubts that the Fed Ex boomer was they same person as they other 3. Why go from personally placing the bomb to shipping it Fed Ex?
To mess with everybody.
Would be bomb #6 is intercepted, along with helpful info about who sent it. I think they will catch the person soon.
OK, it might not be clear.
Another bombing in Austin.

There seems to be some confusion on this one - no explosion instead an incendiary device. But still so very scary of a situation.
So the summary of incidents looks like:
3 bombs left in front of people’s houses
1 bomb triggered by a trip wire
1 bomb exploded in a FedEx facility
1 bomb discovered unexploded in a FedEx facility
1 incendiary device in a Goodwill store (not believed to be related)
Interesting. They changed the article between the time I posted it. Didn’t have that info in it before.
The confusion in Austin on this latest event is extreme. Maybe it was related to the bomber, maybe not. I have to say I was taken back decades when I read about the latest incident. When I was a kid (ES and MS), I used to ride my motorcycle up Brodie Ln to the intersection with Slaughter Ln. Just a couple of two lane roads in the middle of nowhere.
You were riding a motorcycle while you were in elementary school?
‘Kid’ covers up to end of college
I was pretty sure they would be able to identify this guy after he used FedEx to send package bombs. That seemed rather stupid on his part.
Great job by the cops in Austin!
Putt-putts and dirt bikes (70 cc), not Harleys, starting in 3rd-4th grade:

The bomber has been identified:
“Nice kid from a great family.”
Excellent work by the police department. They found the suspect very quickly.
Yet another white male on a murder rampage. Well, at least we know that this won’t be a story in 48 hours or less.
