Does anyone know any good discounts available for Disney or Universal? My son may be going right after graduation.
I can get them a cheap place to stay through timeshare, and flights aren’t bad, but park tickets are pretty expensive, especially if you want to do both parks. I know AAA and Costco may have discounts, plus certain govt. employees get discounts. Thanks
Subscribe to Mousavers to get notified of some good deals when they are available. http://www.mousesavers.com Also check if you have a credit union or if someone in your party is in the military. Discounts are often available for both.
Before getting a hotel outside Universal call the hotels at Universal directly. We got a great deal at Hard Rock once (not an internet price). Staying on the property gave early admission, front of line access (well worth it!) and a ton of discounts for food and shops. Turned out cheaper in the long run.
Sometimes Universal has two park passes at decent prices.
There are very few discounts, and most are small. A couple of online sellers can give some, Undercover Tourist and Maple Leaf Tickets I have used. Subscribers to the Mousesavers newsletter can get another dollar or two off the discounted price at Undercover Tourist. (When comparing, prices on the Disney website do not include tax, while those on the sites I mentioned DO include the tax.) Once last year my AmEx card was running an offer of a $30 statement credit for purchases at Undercover Tourist, but that was temporary.
Bought mine using AAA - got deal on the hotel and the tickets so I was happy. also did subscribe to mousesavers for some helpful tips, though no discounts. Wonderful vacation!!
Staying onsite at Disney and getting early entry can be almost like an extra day at the park.
Thanks everyone. They won’t be going to Disney. If they go anywhere it will likely be an all inclusive. Their budget is about $2,000, and doing these parks for that price would require them to not eat.
Very few discounts, especially in the summer. Some of the colleges have a discount, there is a Florida resident discount, but those often have blockout dates.
The best discounts are for packages, staying multiple days on site and buying multiple day tickets.
