Tier Question

Rather random question, I know, but where is Queen Margaret’s School (York) compared to HADES schools? What ‘tier’ would it be, and what schools would it be ‘on par’ with?

I’ve heard that this school is one of the best all-girls school, anyone else hear anything?

you’re a girl? it’s so hard to tell on CC

Yes, I am :)

yay! me too!

Yay! :D

Anyway, back to the topic at hand…

oh sorry i can’t help you :frowning: what grade will you be in next year?

I’ll be in my freshman year of high school.

me too!!!

It would be on the par with St. Georges

Alright. What ‘tier’ would be St. Georges?

Also, what where would Malvern St. James be compared to HADES schools? What would it be ‘on par’ with, and what ‘tier’ would it be?

similar. These two schools are very nice, but they are not the top 5/10 schools in England. Dont forget alot of these schools were set up to be finishing schools. In part they remain so. Of course nowadays no school can survive without decent academics. What I would concentrate on is trying to figure out whether fit would be an issue in these schools, ie how many girls bring their ponys to St Margaret and would you be the odd man out, etc.

Finishing schools?

Finishing school = school for girls that stressed the social graces and how to become a proper wife (in a pre-sufferage/women’s rights context) to an upper class husband.

Thanks :)

Going abroad just for high school does seem a bit strange, though, if you have plenty of chances in your own area / country.
