<p>Welcome to the TH megathread! TH is where the real cal fans go to watch cal football! Why? Because instead of paying MONEY (which is illegal in berkeley), you pay in sprained ankles, rocks in your butt and the danger of dying tragically in the event of an earthquake.</p>
<p>– What’s so great about Tightwad Hill?
Well first, it’s free. Second, alcohol is “allowed” on the hill! If you have no over 21 friends, you can probably pay someone for a can of bear. Sometimes frats will bring up a keg in which case, get REALLL friendly. Also other things are allowed and you might get some second hand of that stuff but you’re in berkeley you probably smell it going down the street ;)</p>
<p>– What are the rules of Tightwad Hill?
There is only one rule on Tightwad Hill. You are not allowed to wear red. If you’re caught wearing red, people will start chanting, “Take off that red shirt!” and eventually you will be peer pressured into taking off your red shirt. If you refuse to comply, people will hurl abuse at you and won’t give you beer. If you’re a girl people will chant twice as loud just a warning.</p>
<p>– How do I get to Tightwad Hill?
There are two routes. One is shorter (depending) and one is longer. The shorter route is from the north near the soccer field- it’s shorter BUT it’s far steeper. I don’t recommend this route, but it’s a route. Some people will hang ropes from the trees on the route so if you enjoy using ropes to climb mountains this might be for you! The longer one is dependent on the fencing situation. You might have to walk around softball fields (you arrive from the south of the stadium), but hopefully you can get in around where people enter where the people enter memorial stadium. Anyway, just follow people who seem to be going to the game but not to the stadium. You know you’re going in the right direction when you pass through a fence and there’s a train of ppl going up a pretty gentle grade path.</p>
<p>– When should I arrive?
You should arrive early. The best seats will be taken quickly and you might have your view blocked by a tree, or you’ll have to sit in a very precarious spot.</p>
<p>– What should I bring?
Anything you want 
(Except a red shirt) I recommend a backpack for snacks and drinks however.</p>
