"TILE" or similar "finder" product

I bought my son a Tile (https://www.amazon.com/Tile-Mate-Finder-Anything-Finder/dp/B01L3VEC08/ref=sr_1_3 ) 2 or 3 years ago. He’s a perpetual keys/wallet/phone loser and it saved him MANY times. It finally died. Going to get another as a stocking stuffer…but wondering if there is anything better/similar/cheaper on the market now???

If you know someone who is a misplacer this is a GREAT gift/stocking stuffer!

I was just looking at getting some Tiles and they offer replacements at a discount. Also today is a good cyber monday sale

Tile is $21 today. @threebeans did you see a better sale somewhere?

@abasket Read the reviews. Battery runs out on Tile in a year. Not replaceable. You must pay to reTile apparently.

I was just researching these when I saw this thread. What’s the cost to reTile when the battery runs out? There’s a deal on the regular tiles and slims–is it worth it to get one of those? My daughter isn’t the only one who needs these!

I read that reTile is $15. There are alot of finder products with good reviews on Amazon. Research them.

hmmm, We have 4 tile users in our family, all coming up on one year old. I did not know about the battery issue. One thing I like about it is you can have it ping your phone, if you have misplaced that.

I’m happy with my tile. I ordered a replacement after a year but didn’t have to activate it for a couple of months.

@mamom That is the only part that irrates me. Seems not environmentally conscious and I’ll doing well if I schedule the mammogram on time each year.

I’ll be honest I think my son’s battery lasted close to 2 years. I’m happy with the product - and $21 isn’t bad for 1-2 years use and piece of mind. But just wondered if there were others out there.

And BECAUSE there may be a lot of finder products on Amazon, this thread. :slight_smile:

I just ordered the 4 pack (2 mates and 2 slims) from Amazon for $60. Two will be for D and H or S and I will split the other two. She has lost her keys and phone a few times since school started, She found them again pretty quickly, but I like the idea of buying her some peace of mind.
