Time to dust off old sparky

As they used to say–give 'em all the chair. Glad they picked Florida which has the death penalty.

The article did not say, but not only did the victims adopt many special needs kids, they also donated to school for special needs kids. How terrible for these kids.

Oh…murder. From the title of this thread, I thought Barrons had decided it was time to get back into the dating game.

I agree, though. I think the world would survive pretty well without these murderers being alive. And please spare us the “that makes us as bad as the murderers” comments. Slaughtering innocent people for money is one thing; ridding the world of vermin who kill innocent people for money is a DIFFERENT thing.

Funny I am against the death penalty however I have no problem locking someone away in a 6x4 foot room, feeding them the same disgusting gruel once every day and never, never ever, letting them out of that room. No communication, nothing. Just one meal a day.

I’ve changed my mind about the death penalty several times during my adult life. In law school, during the course of several research projects, I think I read about every Texas death penalty case on the books…I always came away feeling, “yeah, it’s okay if they die.”

I’m with sax. I don’t think the State should be in the murdering business. In my opinion, it’s also kinda hard to “rank” crimes and therefore “rank” the punishment the criminals should get. Yes, these wackos killed what looks to be absolute angels of a couple, but is that better or worse than someone who tortures his victims first and then kills them? I think it’s impossible for we mortals to rank crimes – it is, as Obama said, beyond my pay grade – and hence so is determining which crime “deserves” death and which crime “deserves” life imprisonment.

Missypie, I agree that there are lots of people the world wouldn’t mourn if they died, but that still doesn’t mean I think we or the State should kill them.

I feel very well qualified to make that call and rank the crimes. No problemo. This one is easy. Now if Jon decided to whack Kate I might need to think a few minutes. Or vice versa.

A Chinese or Russian gulag located near a uranium mine is what the murderes of this family deserve.
