Time Travel

OK, actually posting this at 12:15pm ET.

Anyone else want to test their CC time traveling abilities?

It certainly adds that degree of difficulty to thread-following…

Posting at 12:40 ET.

So far, ebeeee is the one with the most noticeable time travel ability.

Ha! I win…did anyone else notice the other thread seems to have disappeared  I am soooo powerful.

Maybe they fixed the clock time function…it was annoying.

Posted at 1:52 EST … Looks like they have moved everything to PST :)

That other thread was straight out of the Twilight Zone.

Scualum…your post time indicates it was posted at 1:53 p.m…which would have been EST, not PST.

I’m posting this about 2:14 EST.

I’m posting this at about 3:15pm EST–9:15am HST. When I posted it, it said 9:22 am, which is the actual time here. Does the time zone change depending on where you all are viewing/posting it from? Sorry to ask such a silly question, but I honestly have no idea about these things.

Hi Mom … it’s 2:23 on the east coast.

Friends, I wouldn’t expect CC to use each poster’s local time. I suspect postings are using UT - aka Universal Time. RIght now it is 2:36 local, and 19:36 UT. By the way, we get a leap second this year.

You’re an hour off Himom…it was about 2:22 pm EST…the time I have on my screen for HiMom’s post is EST even though I KNOW that isn’t where she lives!!

And you actually do have the ability to select the time zone you are in by going to your own settings here…and doing so. Mine is set for EST and (usually) that is what is indicated for all of the posts I read (except for this week when posts were being made in the future…).

I saw problems with this the other day… my post showed the correct time, but it was inserted ahead of 2 other posts that had been written BEFORE me, but were time-stamped 3 hours into the future. Bizarre.

Maybe the “leap second” is throwing everything off.

The other day the posts were slightly off. Sometimes when someone replied it appeared before the post they were replying to, but only by a few minutes. Now people are posting hours and hours ahead. It’s very confusing.

There was a young lady named Bright,
Whose speed was far faster than light.
She went out one day,
In a relative way,
And returned the previous night!

In a nutshell; There was a time when you were blowing out the candles on the cake your mother made for your fifth birthday. Physics has it that this physical place where you are celebrating that occasion still exists, but it is very, very, very far away.

The other thread reappeared but was closed…guess they don’t want me to time travel anymore. As for the poster on the other one who wanted me to look at the stock market, I recently reminded someone that the stock market is almost like going to a casino nowadays. You are trying to beat the odds but…

I’m doing it again (insert evil grin here).
