if you look at how much time we have in the summer, its ridiculous. I mean, we could be doing something productive at all times. For me, at least, I take a class and that takes up my time from about 3:00 to 9:30. but before that I told myself I would study for my SAT’s (which I need help in the Math section btw-#asianswhoarebadatmath) from 8-12 am and then from like 12:30 to 3 do stuff for my extracurriculars. And then when I Come home at night at 10, I’ll do ap work and extra curricular stuff. However, when I look back at the day’s work, it is never this productive, even though the theoretical plan is implacable. Anyone else have this problem? Any tips?

I mean, we could be doing something productive at all times.

As someone who lived like this for more than twenty years, I admonish you NOT to do so. I don’t wish for ANYONE here to wake up at age forty and regret having spent too much free time in a “productive” manner.

Any tips?

Yes. Include in your “schedule” time for something totally unproductive.

(Also, if you’re doing so, stop using word lists to build your vocabulary. You’ve misused the word “implacable” here and it isn’t even close.)

Here’s what most people do. They write out a “to-do list” for the day and try to do whatever it is on that list. When the day is over, look at your list and if you only crossed out one or two things to do, then you know you’re slacking too much. Other than that, it’s really all about your will to achieve greater things.
