Timeline of a Princeton SCEA admission (2015-2016)

Hello all,

I know some of you applied SCEA and are wondering what happens next, when will you get contacted, etc.

Here is the timeline from my son’s Princeton SCEA from last year:

10/23/15 - Applied to Princeton SCEA
10/26/15 - Princeton received application and opened a file, tracking system
10/30/15 - Princeton PFAA portal opened
11/01/15 - Submitted PFAA to Princeton
11/05/15 - Alumni interview notification email
11/16/15 - Alumni interview (at a local Dairy Queen!)
12/16/15 - Admitted to Princeton (happy dance!!!)

The alumni oranguzation in our area (Central Texas) is a well-oiled machine and they are able to offer interviews to all applicants. This isn’t the case in all areas, so don’t get upset if you don’t get an interview, everyone we met with said it is nice to have, but will not be held against you if it doesn’t happen.

Do you know how consistent the decision dates have been over the years? Being that it says mid-December, when do you think is the latest the Class of 2021 might hear back?

The latest will be Dec 15 this year. The ivies tend to coalesce around what date to actually choose – they come together and choose a single date. In the past they try to do the Thurs before the 15th. But this year, the 15th is a Thursday.
