Really? this is the first time i’ve seen that happen. I have no idea what to think anymore!

when my friend got his letter, his status was also still at forwarded but i don’t know how long he had the status.

the statuses still being at forwarded makes me feel soooo much better!! THERES STILL HOPE

omg gashergina congrats!
makes me feel a lot better cuz my status changed on 3/23 to forwarded too.
you should post your stats on http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/852880-stats-only-usc-decisions-2010-a.html
which school did you apply to?

Thanks tinkerbell! It feels so good after weeks and weeks of checking up on my statuses and panicking when the enrollment links didn’t work for me! haha.

I applied to the college of letters arts and sciences.

@calrules

You have no idea how relieved I am to hear that. I panicked when I didn’t get anything in the mail today.

haha omg the UCSB envelope freaked everyone out like me.

i saw a big white envelope. i saw a college seal.
then. it was just SB. i wasn’t even excited because i already knew i was in
like wayyy early from the ELC.

sigh. my friend got her vitterbi acceptance today. hopefully i’ll get my marshall
one tomorrow? if not…

IM GONNA BE A CAL BEAR!

“Third Wave (Mid to Late March): The rest of the acceptances will be sent out.
(Please Note: If you are not included in the third wave, DO NOT PANIC! You still have a shot at USC, but it will probably be Spring Admit)”

The first thing that I thought of when I read that was “Did I have to apply for Spring admission or did they automatically allocate Spring admission to some who didn’t get in for the Fall?”

Someone please shed some light on me!

I think they’ll automatically defer you from what I’ve seen. I never heard of people creating new applications for spring admit.

It’s kind of like a smack to the face to be deferred for spring admissions. Like, what’s the difference between the semester? Shadyyy.

so, like, i’m going to be out of state for the next ~4 days [just my luck…]…will i get an email notifying me of my decision?

I doubt it. USC won’t say their decision electronically.

You can call on April 11th and they will let you know.

Looks like there’s going to be a big wave this week…

faith: maybe people dropout first semester thus creating more room? I really don’t know though, it’s just a wild guess.

Yeah that’d make sense. But it’s kind of sad that they expect people to dropout, then.

Ehh also schools don’t have to report the stats of spring admits, so those tend to be people with lower numbers yet very well qualified in other areas.

But seriously, I’d be thrilled to just get an spring admission offer and will accept it without a second thought.

That’s the spirit! :D.

faith, the space is created by students who study abroad Spring semester and the many who complete their graduation requirements in December.

Well still, it’s kind of like they make a big guesstimate on how much room they’ll have, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty, they could be short a couple of spaces.
Sure they might stretch the band and all, but I wonder if they’ve ever had to withdraw a spring offer due to lack of space?
That’d suck.
