<p>Parents of admitted students…</p>
<p>Our daughter is an admitted student for civil engineering. We’re visiting for the general admitted student’s day (4/20) and L.C. Smith College of Engineering open house for admitted student (4/21). Staying over the 19th/20th.</p>
<p>We originally had Sheraton reservations for $225/night. On the engineering open house page page it shows if you mention the engineering admitted student’s day you get a discount. We called and they switched our rate to $134/night.</p>
<p>Sounds like anyone can play that card since they didn’t ask for any specific information. You will need to say “LC Smith” though, not just “engineering open house” since they had a bit of trouble finding their internal discount code. So if you’re going to the admitted student’s activity that wknd, consider taking advantage of the rate. There are 1/2 dozen hotels listed, so the discounts apparently are at many places. </p>
