Tips for my next 3 years?

Hi, I’m a 14 year old 9th grader about to end my freshman year. I haven’t received my final grades or taken my finals yet, but for now I just want to know a few tips on how to increase my chances.

I only do 2 clubs for school and I do golf as my sport, I don’t work yet (I can’t find anywhere hiring my age), and this summer I’m going to try volunteering at my library.

I’m taking the SAT’s my sophomore year, probably in December and I’m taking an SAT prep class in school next year.

So to sum this all up, I’m kind of lost and not sure how to work towards my goal into Princeton.
If you have any tips on taking SAT’s, doing extracurriculers, finding jobs and volunteer oppurtunities, etc., they would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don’t know if this might help but here’s a list of the classes I’m taking next year:
-honors english 2
-honors pre calculus
-AP honors statistics
-honors chemistry
-french 2 (no honors available in my school)
-sat prep

I also feel like I will end the year with a 4.0 GPA, weighted and unweighted this year.

First, you should not be worrying about this if you are a freshman. Sure, take the hardest classes you can and do well in them, but by no means should you be stressing over which college you are going to go to. There are many great universities other than Princeton at which I’m sure you’ll do absolutely fantastic.

But to answer your question… find a passion for something, and do that. Become REALLY REALLY good at that passion. Get some kind of state-wide or nation-wide recognition for it, and on top of that, get very good grades and a reasonably high test score to stay competitive. Show leadership, show creativity, and show you are one-of-a-kind. Destroy the essays, and get top notch recommendations.

Then, you will have a decent shot! Just remember, people with perfect scores are denied every year. Don’t stress about it too much.
