Tips for the writing section

Okay guys, I know you guys told me to buy certain books, but I don’t need them.

I need tips.

Like for identifying errors. I know the grammar rules. I need geniune tips that let you have a 750+ SAT writing score! OKAY THANKS!!

Me too as well! I need to get at least above 700 on my writing portion. any tips anyone?

“I fully understand accounting principles. I don’t need books or business experience. I need tips. Can you guys give me tips on how to make $1000000.”

But seriously, you need to study and work (possibly) hard on getting your dream score. Tips are impossible to absorb and internalize without lots of practice. One person’s tips will differ from another’s. You may assimilate all the wrong tips. Have faith in the experts, and learn from them: test strategies, practice tests, etc

Without knowing your innate ability and your commitment to improve your goal might be out of reach.

Go through a comprehensive SAT grammar guide (there are many), and refer to the rules you miss in that guide whenever you get a question wrong. If you actually spend the time it shouldn’t be hard to score 45+/49 correct.

Tell you what…

I previously scored 65-70/80 in M/C Writing. Then I read SilverTurtle’s full comprehensive SAT study guide and tips. Now I score 77-80/80.

Read it thoroughly, and absorb every piece of information within it. Chances are, you aren’t really as knowledgeable of grammar rules as you think you are. That’s how it was for me.

Other than that, I can tell you no other piece of advice but practice.
