tips welcome

I took the SAT in October and got a 1760 (540 CR, 570 math, 640 writing) and really do not want to take it again. I’m taking the ACT with writing in June. I took a class for the SAT which was expensive so I can’t pay for any more test prep now, but does anyone have any useful tips that doesn’t involve spending money?

Practice tests. Full length and timed under test-like conditions. In other words, don’t do a section and then take a two hour break. Sit and take the test. Does the ACT have a book like the College Board’s Blue Book with actual old tests. If so, use that. Review the tests. Keep a notebook where you make note of mistakes and correct them.

Alright I’ll try-- I get 50% extra time on SAT/ACT so they take much longer than most people (for the SAT I was at school for about 7 hours). Thanks for the advice
