I was accepted to Tisch for class of 2014 and currently am trying to choose between BU and Tisch. I know that Tisch’s graduate acting program is one of the best in the country’s but I’m worried that it might negatively affect the undergraduate program. Anyone have any information that could be of some help?
Thanks!

The graduate acting program at Tisch is TOTALLY separate from the undergrad drama BFA program. The classes are different…the students never mix in classes. The productions also differ. Undergrads are not in grad productions and grad students are not in undergrad productions. This is one BFA program where I can guarantee you there is NO overlap at all. Not only is there no overshadowing, but these two groups of students don’t meet. As an undergrad, you won’t be able to tell that there even is an MFA in acting at Tisch.

Also BFA students do their acting training in studios (ie., Stella Adler, Atlantic, Playwrights Horizons, Experimental Theatre Wing, etc) and this is not where the grad students train.
