How does one get them/qualify for them?

Lol, I love you too Tipp oo.
That rhymes.

Dunkin’ donuts. Hm. I myself don’t know why I wrote that. I had wanted to go with Pikachu, but I forgot my original intent and went with Dunkin’ donuts instead. Don’t ask why.

Bubbles, your words are very encouraging  Course wise and everything I’m pretty sorted-doing the full IB and all. I only hope I can convince my counselor to let me apply. I’ll probably bring it up once I’m done with my essays, can’t say anything then.
Pix, I made up the Harry Potter Collegiate Trio lol. It was based on what you just told me-Wesleyan (with their HP course offerings), Middlebury (Muggle Quidditch), and Brown (Emma Watson). Haha if only it existed in reality (I should probably start it up in college. Hmm :p)

What damn right does she have to stop you?
I swear, I can only imagine my counselors face probably 9 months from now when I show her my final college list. She’ll have this feel of pity for me, but I don’t care.

I’ll never know unless I apply.

-Bubbles.
10charrrrr

^Exhibitions such as these prove my metal as a teacher.

We just get our counsellor to write that "The application fees would be a considerable financial problem to the student or something like that. She can also mention the income bracket and any other details that would help your case. If you’re applying for considerable fin. aid, then it makes your case more believable. While the HYP’s give fee waivers to almost anyone under 100,000$ I think, other smaller schools(read LAC’s) have a specific amount.
Foreign nationals do have an advantage in Fee waivers imo. While American students are linited to only four by the CA, since we send a letter/disclaimer from the counsellor, we can get an unlimited amount. I know of this person in Nepal who got 16! o.O

Lol bubbles calm, she’s not stopping me, she just says I should concentrate on my essays right now and not still be choosing colleges. She has a point really. Like I said, once I’m done with essays I should be sorted :]

Aw so I can’t get 30+ fee waivers?

To apply for fee-waiver, use this form:

Arun, what are you doing your essays on?

Bubbles, your annual school fees is what, equal to blue_box’s whole college education. In other words, you’re stinkin’ rich!!! I hate to break it to you girl, but you won’t get even one. :D

fabregas- that doesn’t work for int’ls.
I got 10 copies printed out before finding out they aren’t meant for me.

Chalo, everyone, I’ll pop in later. I really should get some work done instead of fooling off here. With anonymous people too. Hawwwjiii. What will my god fearing grandmother say?? o.O

Haha, I’m far from it!

It worked for me.

One of my essays is on what I gleaned from my experience working as a volunteer in Romania through a conversation I had with one of the girls in the village. It sounds very cliched, but it’s not-I’m submitting it tomorrow and I hope my counselor likes it. The other one is one I’m still working on, it’s about my identity and relating it to a festival. I’m not sure how it’s turning out, it’s still very rough and not sounding particularly great at all.
Then there were this idea I had to show how I got interested in writing, and I’m thinking of either doing it on my first proper story (in 4th grade and triggered by a really really odd event) or my first proper poem (in 9th grade because of a friend’s death). But I’m not too sure :/

PS- Some posts on this forum got deleted. Before page 39 I think. I wonder which? I can’t make out myself. Just a passing observation.

Imaginary treats for all TiTers from me.

Guess what - Chelsea 0-3 Sunderland

I can’t stop smiling. And I can’t wait to meet my teammates tomorrow.

^Interesting ideas! I’d be happy to look em over if you’d like. :)

Just to clarify on my volunteer essay-I’m not talking about how it changed my view of things and made me grateful for what I have and how we can solve the problems I encountered in Romania (I mean it did all those things, but I’m not going to mention that too much). It’s more on a personal paradigm shift and focuses on my relationship with the girl I met.

Bubbles-Once I finish them and get them AOK’d by my counselor, sure thing :)
