HIYA there Puttu!! :)

Arunemo- Cool! How’d it go? Lotsa combat innit? Just the way I like it!!
I can’t wait to watch it!

I think I’ll PM you with the details. There’s too much to say. Besides, I don’t think anyone’s as excited as us two here.
But I definitely think that was the best Harry Potter movie yet. Splitting it in two parts was pure genius.

^ Just cause we aren’t being overly crazy about Harry Potter, doesn’t mean we aren’t excited. :P

Aaaahhh!! !I cannot wait! Advance booking started yesterday and the stupid stupid stupidy stupid PVR site isn’t letting me book the tickets! Aargghhh. It would be such an anticlimax if after so much of agonising I actually decide to go and there are no tickets at the counter.

Try bookmyshow.com

I did. It doesn’t have PVR at all! That’s the only place convenient for me and my friends atm.

Ho gaya!
I is watchin’ Daniel in all his gory glory tomorrow. :stuck_out_tongue:
I can’t wait :D

I want to take Math lessons from Paul Sally
[Q & A with PaulSally - The Chicago Maroon](<a href=“Delays keep Proof from silver screen – Chicago Maroon”>Delays keep Proof from silver screen – Chicago Maroon)
btw, I was @ UChicago yesterday. Next time I visit I want to sit in his class.

Tell us a bit about your UChicago visit! Rather, tell us everything about your UChicago visit!

Yo Sally!

A very intriguing man.

Sally sounds cool! A pirate would always sound cool. That is one professor I would definitely visit office hours. :D

I SAW IT!!
It has to be the best part ever! So well scripted, awfully good effects, lotsa duels and well put all together! To divide it into two parts was the best idea ever. :D

Eeeee!! Is it obvious that I’m superexcited atm? :D

But now I feel like puking. Too much of coke flavoured popcorn. Eurgh. I never want to have popcorn again.

Hahaha Pixie I know that feeling soo well. It happens every time I go for a movie. I feel like **** after inadvertently eating so much popcorn with Coke Zero. I never learn though haha.
Told you it was a-freaking-mazing. We were in the 4th row which is towards the front but at an excellent height, and parts like when Nagini bared her fangs and struck made me jump in my seat. The second part is gonna break all records for movie collections :D

Yeah, that part made everyone in my hall jump too. I was in the second last row so it was all good. I loved the part when Dobby pointed at Luna and said “Sir?! I like that girl!”
<3
And I loved the ending too. Really nice place to end.

But one thing I found really absurd. When Harry takes the polyjuice potion and goes down to the courtrooms at the Ministry, why in the world does he scream “I must not lie” to Umbridge?? That is so out of place and uncalled for. It didn’t make any sense at all in that situation.
The popcorn always smells so good in the beginning that we all stuff our faces and then later when one realizes what’s inevitably going to happen, it’s too late.

It was a short visit - mainly to see my family member. He is doing very well in all his classes including honors calc. I think IB/ICS/CBSE people come better prepared to handle this class compared to AP. He is super excited about attending Sally’s class.

Didn’t go around the campus much this time. Did step into Hutchinson Commons for a minute and it felt like Hogwarts.

Another bit of advice: don’t apply to UChicago if you don’t enjoy theoretical stuff.

Example:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-texas-austin/1020308-transferring-uchicago.html</a></p>

It’s funny. A lot of schools are described as looking ‘like Hogwarts’. Sometimes for places like Bryn Mawr, that seems to be the only scoring point.

^ lol.

And thanks for that Tipu. What course are you applying for? Any prospective majors, Tipu and Pixie?

itsmylife, it is too early for me to decide. That is why I am leaning towards schools where you don’t have to decide on major right away. I want to do some combination of math and science or engineering. How about you?

scott pilgrim vs. the world

itsmylife, I’m applying as Undecided everywhere I can. Otherwise I generally list two out of Math, East Asian Languages and Literature/East asian studies(whichever deptt exists), Physics and Philosophy.

Yours is engineering right? Which one?
