<p>Do prefects get to report kids who come with uniforms are not properly ironed?</p>
<p>Seriously, what do prefects do? Do they get elected by their classmates? Or, appointed by teachers?</p>
<p>Yeah, that and more- Discipline, organising functions, yada yada. Okay, reporting unironed uniforms is something I had to do when I was Vice Captain in Junior School(I did it with great pleasure indeed for my worst enemies) but thats taking it too far in Senior School. Here it’s more of reporting wrong shoes(nike/adidas instead of plain black), wrong uniform so on.That’s what school prefects are supposed to do back in India. I wonder what they do in America?</p>
<p>Anyway, they’re elected by the teachers after a close appraisal of their portfolio and school record. In our school atleast.
In some schools they are elected by the students.</p>
<p>My school in India used to let the students elect them. Then they basically did what Pix said, and they were also a gateway between the student body and the administration.
In my school here, the organize all major fund raisers, help out parents on PTMs, try implementing or changing rules by negotiating with the school board, and are in charge of our Friday Assemblies.</p>

<p>Nah Pixie. They just have a link listing your biggest flaws and labeling you as an annoying CC’er with too many infractions to be allowed, along with an end quote from the Mod declaring ‘She sux.’ Oh did I mention the link is in bright green and pops up in a separate window as soon as you click on your profile?</p>
<p>You’re good to go dude. I doubt anyone would un-friend you because of a silly infraction.</p>
<p>My school has a student body about 5,000 kids. Excluding the small kids (KG, Nursery), it comes down to about 2000. These 2000 kids vote for captain. But everyone in school says that the voting is moot. It’s the teachers and the principal who decide lol.</p>
<p>BTW, can “leadership camp” in J&K be mentioned as an activity in the activities section? The captain and the 4 house captains of the school were taken for a week long leadership camp in J&K. But we did mostly fun activities like rock climbing, rappelling, camping, etc etc.</p>

<p>The last episode?! Blitz----“The gentemen!” hahahahaha. It was AWESOME. (I purposely didn’t use the word “legendary” since it’s been worn out due to excessive use.)</p>
<p>Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half men are my other two favourite shows! Did you know Raj REALLY has that accent? 
If there’s one reason I’ll be applying to Caltech, it’d be Big Bang Theory and Sheldon Cooper. </p>
<p>I also watch Desperate Housewives – guilty pleasure.</p>
<p>Yes it was! It was getting a little flat towards the middle but they’ve def picked up with this. I was a Lost fan too so this was a great episode in so many ways

Desperate Housewives-LOL. I don’t watch that show. I watch Castle, GG (sometimes, it’s so bad now), The Vampire Diaries, and Glee…yea I watch a lot of shows :p</p>

<p>Here’s my consensus-
- BBT’s soul = Sheldon Cooper
- HIMYM’s soul = Barney Stinson
- 2.5 Men’s Soul = Berta (she’s insanely funny!)
- Entourage’s Soul = Ari Gold
- Modern Family’s Soul = The Colombian lady, forgot her namee</p>
<p>Ani, 2.5 men’s soul is CHARLIE. Last I checked, he was the highest paid TV actor!</p>
<p>I don’t watch 2.5 men, Entourage, or Modern Family so I can’t really join the discussion. But regarding the other two, totally true! Barney Stinson is such a legend. There should be a word Stinsonisms in his honor.</p>
<p>Marshall and Alan are the unsung heroes of the two shows.

<p>Yes, that’s true, but charlie harper is too overdone. The writers have run out of ideas. They shouldn’t have continued this season man. The only person who manages to say something VERY funny every time she speaks is Berta, hence, she, according to me , is the soul of the show.</p>

Why can’t I get away with kindergarten stories? Nice and straightforward? Oh no. It has to be something mature and insightful. Something that ‘reveals’ something about you. Oh and did I mention it has to stand out? It can’t be about boring old Interact Club. No, it has to be community service or your self actualisation or something so convoluted and roundabout that one forgets what the author was talking about in the first place and awards it good points scratching his head. We don’t all have Psych now. I’m going to prove essays containing less than 4 syllable words work!
