TiT#18 ver2

Thanks…
And yeah, good idea, I might do one in the summer!

And dig up the links if you can, please :)

Don’t we all?

^Sure. I’m doing hw now, but I’ll get 'em by tonight. When is your interview btw?

@Tippu - You seem way too nice. I find it hard to believe. But repentance is always a good thing.

Btw, Ani - I fail to understand why you’re so caught up in getting into other schools? GT is a good school. My friend goes there (he’s an absolute kayuttieee) and he says it’s very respected in the South. He just hates the ratio lol. Oh and he was getting a C in his Calc class but got an A on his final and ended up with an A for the class. I like the grade replacement policy. Lol.

I have a huge crush on himmmmm. Haha. Sorry I felt like sharing that. I haven’t talked about boys in a while.

^Well he can assess his options you know? I’m sure he likes GT and everything but what’s the harm in applying to a few more? At least for him it’s not completely uncertain like most of us since he has a back up. It’s his choice really.

I second that. I’ve done so many things I’m not proud of.

Haha true I suppose. This boy is AMAZING. He makes me want to heavily consider Emory lol…

:P Don’t mind me. I’m just being my naive self again. I get like this when I meet a good looking boy.

And arunemo, you’re not alone.
But you and tippu are probably the nicest people on this thread…I can’t imagine what “sins” you all have committed.

My interview is sometime in Jan-end… And then my second interview is in the last week of February.
I’ve only applied to 2 colleges RD, btw.

GT is amazing, no doubt, and it’s respected all over the world, but sometimes I think that a Tech school like GT is not for me… I’m very fickle minded so I want to keep my options open.
And yeah, the ratio sucks!
GT is rated above CMU in everything except Computer Science/Comp Engg., btw. My sister etc told me to choose GT even over Penn/UCLA etc… Let’s see though. I have April to decide where I wanna go so I’ll think about it then. Not now.

Everyone’s done something wrong some point in life. Tippu and Arunemo both are amazing people no matter what. :)

Bubbles, thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds very enlightening. :)

I follow a slightly different line of thought though. I believe that one can change what was spelled out in the cards if one really wishes to, and one should never accept with resignation something that is not up to his satisfaction, because there’s always always room for change and it’s never ever too late. But that’s just my weird ideology; my experiences have molded it.

^Oh best of luck.

And that’s great. Apply widely I suppose! This boy makes the south sound so fun.
GUYSSSS I’M IN LOVE AGAIN.

But really, good luck!

And Pixie, yeah. I agree. Sort of. Haha, and it’s not wierd. It’s interesting.

very very very true.

^Samesies. I believe that whatever you do, you should put your heart and soul into it instead of resigning everything over to the world. To an extent, we can control our fate. Beyond that control, it’s in the cards and there is nothing we can do and it’s pointless obsessing over it. This is so true w.r.t. college apps. Who would’ve thought I’d come out of this process learning so much?
Which colleges are interviewing you Ani?

It’s 3:00 A.M. & I’m singing and dancing around my house to Bollywood songs.

Man I love life.

Arunemo, that is what I’ve been tryna express all along!!

Work hard. Stress not. And let the cards fall as they do.

But of course, if you don’t like something, work hard to get to where you want to be.

Aniruddh, why don’t you share your sister’s on here? It is amazing…

And life loves you back :p

It’s strange how we have these epiphanies so close to Graduation no? It’s like the closer I get, the more I reflect on my entire school life and look back at all the good, bad, and ugly things I did, and the crazier the reality of me finishing school forever in just about 5 months seems. Hindsight is helpful, although in my case it might be slightly unhealthy, given the amount of reflecting I’ve been doing.
I suppose for all the people back in India it’s fast forwarded, and you have about 3 months left. Have you ever had those moments when your entire school life passes by in a second through your mind? It’s been happening a lot lately, and I bet it’s gonna happen again in full blast when I’m up on stage in my cap and gown.
Gah, TOK class in 5 minutes. See you guys.

Haha.

College admissions is know to be a time of great self reflection. It’s great to take what you have learned from it for undergrad.

It’s not that great, really. She went to a pretty well-reputed college in Mumbai, thats why :expressionless:
But yeah, she went to a comparatively blah college (compared to the IITs and BITS of the world) and then she went to <my ed=“” rejection=“” place=“”> for her Masters even though she wasn’t the BEST student around… And now she’s already bought an amazing house overlooking <something amazing=“”> with a view to die for… And umm… She’s going to apply for an MBA next year…
Nothing great yaar. Way way better stories out there haha. </something></my>

I’m giving away too much information about myself on this forum!

-Deleted-

10char

^There’s actually a lot he left out but let’s just say fate played a big role in the story.

Question: Do I come off as naive?

^Yes you do.

Haha you know who this is right?

I can smell bubbles around.
