<p>Did anyone get accepted to and is planning on attending TJHSST (in Alexandria, Virginia) next year? Not sure if this is in the right forum because TJ isn’t a private school, but there is an admissions process to get in.</p>

<p>First of all congratulations for getting in, it is a tough school to get into. Like you said, it is not a “prep school” per say, but it is one hell of a school and it would give any non perennial top boarding school a run for its money. </p>

<p>I take it you live in noVa?</p>

<p>My son got in but has declined. He has several friends who are going. Perhaps we already know each other?</p>

<p>Oh, and I forgot to say Congratulations!!! US News and World Report #1 school for two years running. That is one tough admissions process!</p>

<p>I am a current freshman at tjhsst. but i am transfering to andover next year. its a great place if you really love science/math, but if not, you might regret for being there.</p>

<p>Helpmeoutman: You are right. That’s why my son decided against it. He likes math and science and is good at both but he has other interests and TJ doesn’t fit as well as Hotchkiss. It is still an amazing place…just not for everyone. I think if he would have gone there he’d be doing the same thing you are doing. Good luck at Andover!</p>

<p>I’m actually a freshman at TJ, but I was wondering if anyone here was accepted. I think admission letters came out a few weeks ago. </p>
