As an individual who is sitting on the pergatory of the waitlist… who’s NOT accepting their admit to Stanford or who is getting to weigh other amazing options?

I was accepted to Yale and Stanford. I want to go to Yale but my parents want Stanford… =/

Same as llpitch; i want to go to stanford but yale gave me more money…hopefully stanford will match.

for me it’s between Stanford &Howard

^Howard University? You mean the one in Washington DC? I hated it when I visited with my high school =/
(or… did you mean Harvard University?)

Um, for me its down to Stanford, USC w/ half tuition scholarship (possibly), and UMD College Park w/ full ride

It’s down to money basically, and what my parents are willing to pay.

Stanford or Yale. I still have to do visits and then i’ll choose.

It’s between Madison (full-ride) and Stanford for me. I’ve never been to Stanz before, so I’m going to make my decision after Admit Weekend…I am sure I will love it, but my parents don’t want to commit until I see the real thing (which I heard is 10X better in person than in pictures, which is hard to believe). Sorry waitlisters!

for me, it’s between Columbia and Yale. I’m almost certain I’ll be rejecting Stanford. My parents insisted that I apply there, and when I got in they were ecstatic - I live a few hours away so they prefer Stanford to NYC (Columbia) or New Haven

^^Stanford PWNS Columbia and Yale! ;0!

All this talk about rejecting Stanford seems blasphemous

Me! Good luck for waitlist people.

im not certain that ill be accepting because of that lovely 200,000 price tag…berkeley and ucla are sound really good because of that…

Oh there is hope for waitlisters… (sort of.)

i too am on the waitlist, but I have a friend who’s turning down Stanford for WashU!

I’m not. Although I do love Cornell. I just can’t turn down Palo Alto, CA. lol. And Stanford just has a definite edge, however slight, in the name recognition/prestige competition over Cornell. So I’m definitely going with Stanford. I can’t wait!
