I don’t remember how I felt. I must have been feeling pretty nervous, because I got less than a fifteen hundred. However, to relax during testing, just remember to bring a billion and eight pencils so you don’t run out.

when i took the test I left my ID at home so my dad had to bring it to the front of school and i had to run around in the unfamiliar school to get it and run back to the room while tripping on stairs…so i took it while I was breathing hard and my heart was pounding…and I pulled a 1530

Yeah I’m a 1470! Throwin’ it up for the gangstas in the house!

To tell you the truth, at first I was like, who cares
Because I know I barely studied the 2nd time around and probably won’t do so well. Then right before the test, I had a mood crash and just felt SO depressed because I slacked off! LOL.

But the important thing is to concentrate on your test and not think about anything else. Maybe it helps to take the SAT twice, because I had a 110 point increase. It’s probably because you get more experience with these tests. =P

Hey slipstream/smart a$$. Check this: 1<2, size of your schlong<size of my schlong, 1470<1500. Any Questions??

Haha… Wow.

1st time: 1400 - dissapointed
2nd time: 1450 - crushed
3rd time: 1590 - stunned

wow, good stuff.

1600 - ****ed off

I was sick when I got my 1550.(The room was spinning, I was sitting next to an 11 year old, and I couldn’t handle the Kleenex… I dunno, it was weird.) I was sick when I got my 1430 before that…(I nearly threw up…) And sort of W-T-F during sophomore year when I got my 1330.(I was like, “Whoa… SAT, what is this?”)

I didn’t really study for verbal, per se… I did do “10 Reals.” A LOT! I dunno… I think a lot of people need to manage time better on verbal. That was my problem… I’d get tired and when I’d get around to the Critical Reading, I’d…suck. Ha ha. When I got my 1550(the first time I broke 700 on an official SAT verbal), I did CR first, and then went on to the vocab. related stuff afterward. And the math, well, math gangsters don’t need to study for that. Ha ha… Just don’t get careless on the math…

I was extrememly nervous when I took the test.

I only was extrememly nervous because I blew off the entire section 4!!! I filled in ALL the bubbles and wrote naughty words in the grid in boxes because I was convinced it was experimental because of the short passages. Turns out, the next section had short passages TOO. What the F***. I was sweating. It really sucked. Right after the test I went to CC and luckily section 4 was equating. PURE luck.

I ended up with 1570 (800 M, 770 V)

The first time i took them, I got a 1430 and I was a little nervous going into it. The second time I got a 1600, which was surprising. Although I did feel noticably more relaxed going into it because I felt like I had prepared much more and I didn’t do any cramming the night before. I think if I crammed right before I would have gotten nervous and lost some confidence. Since I felt pretty relaxed, I was able to focus so much better on the test and really read each question and go at a quick pace.

For the verbal, I did go over some vocab words, but I didn’t go crazy. Preparing for the SATs overall with the 10 Real’s definitely helped with verbal specifically. Even though it may seem the easiest, I think practicing the CR part was helpful in the practice tests. It gives you more of a feel of the type of answers they expect and you can find certain trends in the questions.

Good luck, just don’t cram and be confident going in.

Great job Viewer

I was at ease in the first three verbal sections. Math is easy for me, but I still got two wrong in the first math section at the inception. Luckily I found the errors and corrected them. But for the last verbal, the 15-minute long passage, I felt the time was running out. I didn’t get enough time to scrutinize the questions, only finding the answer by simple glances. Luckily it turns out a 1600.

Oh, Viewer, we are the same. From 1430 to 1600, :)

When I took the test I was in a good mood. My Homecoming date had been crowned Homecoming Queen the night before, the dance was that night, and it was Fall of my Junior year so I had a lot more chances to improve if I needed to.

When I got my score, I was incredulous. I mean, I didn’t think real people got 1600s.

Studying for Verbal: DON’T EVER USE CLIFF NOTEs. Reading High School level books definitely improves your vocabulary. Also, one technique I used to remember vocab words from English class: try to use each word at least once (if it works) in your next paper. Not only do teachers really like that sort of stuff, it pounds the words into your head.

I took the SAT I twice, and both times, I got a 1510. 760M-750V, then vice versa.

I was rather calm. And bored. And stared out of the window a lot. I remember I was really quite hungry and wanted a feta-cheese-and-spinach pizza.
