<p>Is Randal Beam a good prof for 201?</p>
<p>I’m unsure if I should take him now for Winter quarter or if I should wait until Spring quarter to take it with someone else.</p>
<p>I took that exact same class with Beam last year.</p>
<p>He’s a really really sweet guy. But boring. But honestly the topics offered in 201 would probably bore me no matter who’s teaching it. It’s a lot of common sense stuff. I didn’t even read the books/articles for class and got a 3.7 w/no effort. </p>
<p>But if you want to take it…the good thing about him is he videocasts all his classes so you don’t have to actually attend. You can just watch the class at home in your own time.</p>

<p>I need to take that class because I’m double majoring in Journalism; I just got confused because reviews of him on ratemyprofessors were positive/neutral, and on the Course Evaluation Catalog people kind of seemed to give him bad marks.</p>
