To all international students asking for huge amounts of aid

@squashie I did not mention need blind colleges because pretty much everyone knows the six need blind ones, this is for those looking at colleges beyond these six.

Last year, Reed gave 54% (45 out of 82) of its international student body here for four years (exchange students get free tuition, so are not counted) an average of $49,588 in aid.

Are the numbers correct for Washington and Lee cause I’ve heard they don’t give much money? Also, are there any colleges in California that offer aid to internationals?

@smileyowl Yup its from the common data set
And no, california is not generous with aid

Thank you @Ghfdw17 sooooooo much for this…!!!

@Ghfdw17 Thank man! This was great. I have only a few days left till deadline but I wanted to expand my college list. This will surely help me out a lot! Also, can you tell me from where did you get these statistics. Not all colleges display this information do they? Or have I been not looking properly and this info IS available on their websites?

@marstatic This is in the common data set. Sections B2 and H6. And you’re welcome :)

@Ghfdw17 I am sorry what? B2 and H6?

Also do you happen to have the statistics for Oberlin?

Oberlin 29,620 153/197

Will post if I find others too.

By Colorado,do you mean the Colorado state university?
This list is really useful …thanks.

It’s Colorado College that was included in the initial list at the top of this thread. CU-Boulder and CSU will give little aid to internationals.

Thank you soooooo much. That’s what I’ve been looking for.

Does this apply for international transfer students as well?

I want to know how much is left for students to pay. I think this is more important than the aid itself. For example a university that give 50k and the student have to pay 5k is a better option than a univesty that give 65k and require the student to pay 15k.

Um, I do think that the generous LACs that promise to meet need tend towards the same cost of attendance. I’m positive that student X would have to pay the same +/- 2k at generous LAC A and B.

Sorry bu I don’t know what is LAC A and B ? Can you explain more?
