To Major in a Language, do you have to have previous knowledge in it?

<p>No previous knowledge required, don’t worry. Before you take classes it will help a lot do a little self-study and build up a foundation, but it’s not necessary. A lot depends on teachers, too. Some foreign language teachers don’t drill the basics enough at the beginning, and as a result their students have trouble keeping up with the pace. As long as you have a teacher that loves the language and cares about their students that shouldn’t be any problem though.</p>
