<p>OK, my daughter was accepted on ED and we’ve done the deposit and confirmed her intent to attend Penn. Then it says she has to cancel or rescind (not sure of the exact wording) her other applications or they may not accept her. What exactly do they mean by this? She has been accepted to a few other schools that were rolling, but she never put any deposits or anything past the application submission. What does she need to do, write each school?</p>
<p>I just sent a short email to each school I had sent anything to (transcript, application, test scores) saying something along the lines of “I have been accepted under an early decision plan to another school, please withdraw my application from consideration”. Schools will usually email you back or send something by mail to confirm. Some schools allow you to do this online (I withdrew from Cornell and Michigan on their admissions portals).</p>
