To Princeton Class of 2020 Applicants

@Cantiger The 2020 supplement is on the previous page. I meant that under the section where you list your current degree intentions, they fail to even LIST those two departments. The website still mentions them, however.

I understand. I googled “Princeton supplement common app” and got the following supplement for last year (class of 2019). http://admission.princeton.edu/sites/admission/files/pdfs/Common-App2014_WritingSupp.pdf I am curious now as to why those areas were not shown on this years’ supplement as they are clearly indicated on the right column of last years’ supplement on page 2. They are the bottom two departments on the list so I wonder if they got somehow cut off. It might be worth your while to e-mail admissions and find out how you should proceed on the app.

Story2 College essay prompt also provides good info about writing supplements. It’s efficient.

sup guys, I’m in the year ahead of you. will be starting at Princeton next year (well this year I suppose). feel free to hit me if you have any questions/concerns or you’re looking for advice about the admissions process. best of luck

I don’t think I can assign one word to what I’m feeling… maybe, nerv-anx-ified (nervous, anxious, terrified)? I’m applying a good number of reaches, so I’m sort of working to not get my hopes up so that come spring, there’s not much left to be dashed.

I’ll be applying regular (because–commitment issues).

No concerns, but I will say that I absolutely love their fifth prompt for the long essay; the one that asks you to choose a meaningful quote.

I can’t explain my feeling. I am still not sure if I will apply SCEA to Princeton, but I’m quite incline towards doing it. I would like to major in maths and econ. What do you say, guys?

UC Berkeley is my first choice, but I’m applying to Princeton SCEA (and Michigan EA as well)

does Princeton meet full aid for EA

They meet full demonstrated interested if admitted.

Princeton hasnt released their supplements on common app? I checked and it says “The questions for this college are not yet ready for completion.”

Do you know when they usually release it?

They released their supplement on their website. I don’t know when they will be available on common app.

Applying regular decision! So worried…

[Update] Submitted my early app yesterday… waiting to track the application now… ahhh im nervous.

I sent my official score report four days ago and it has still not been received. If they’re not sent by November 1st, will they affect my app negatively? I have ready sent the common app and the supp

@VanillaBean22 Of course not. You know they WANT to admit you, right? It serves them no good to be harsh – please understand that.

@VanillaBean22 we were in a similar situation 4 years ago when my son (now a senior) applied. We were stressing because the scores had not arrived and in fact they did not make it until the second week in November. We called admissions and they were so relaxed about it. They assured us that they would arrive eventually (they did) and used his self reported scores to assess the application. Scores from the college board only confirm what you reported.

I sent my SAT scores on Oct 7th, rush mail; however, according to the tracking system, they have not been received…
I am getting a little worried now.

@WizDexter99 did you get in? I’m also African …but RD

Hello everyone! I’m an RD applicant relatively new to CC. Were any of you SCEA applicants admitted?

I was deferred @aBitOfLuck but I know a bunch of the SCEAs on the princeton SCEA thread (the other one) was admitted.

Anyways, good luck to you!
