TO qualifications

What are the qualifications for Thematic Option? On the website, it says that you must have a h.s. gpa of 4.0 or above and an SAT of 2100+. I meet both those requirements…should I have qualified for TO? Thanks.

and also, is it true that you would have NO SOCIAL LIFE if you do TO?

As for the first question, the official statistics for TO students have never been shared, as far as I know. Most of the invitations come out with scholarship requests. You can check out the website for more details.

For the second, of course you can have a social life and do TO. It isn’t that much harder. It’s actually a bit easier to make friends in your classes, as there is a smaller group of people, so you will always know people. TO doesn’t take over your life, and the time commitment is just a bit more that that for normal Gen Ed classes.

I’m not sure about the qualifications, but even if you don’t get the letter you still can apply, and if your application to it is good enough you could get in. You can definitely still have a social life with To, too. Frankly, I love TO! I’ve finished all of my TO requirements now, and I miss it a lot. Most of the kids I regularly party with and hang out with, and my closest friends that I don’t know through my major, are from TO! Some of the coolest kids you’ll meet are TO ones, in my opinion at least.
