I want to do the study aboard to Peking University, but it requires junior/senior standing. If I already know Chinese fluently and can read and right, and assuming I do well freshman year, is it possible to appeal that requirement and go my sophomore year?

why do you want to go a year early?

Is there a differance b/t going soph. year and junior year…if not, why go through all the work of trying to get the standin req. waived.

Unless I’m gonna be an Asian/Chinese major, then I don’t want to spend junior year in Beijing. That’s when the independent research and major begins. Senior year is for prepping grad school, just like senior year in high school.

I certainly haven’t been prepping for college this year… haha

Can’t you graduate early if you fulfilled all the requirements for your major?
