To Submit or to not submit?

Previous SAT score: 770M, 690CR, 660W (11 essay)
New SAT score (3rd time): 800M, 610 CR, 630 W

So I got the perfect score in math but completely bombed the other two sections. I know these scores are already crappy enough to get me rejected, but is it worth sending in my 3rd try to show the math score, or will the CR and W scores hurt it too much? I applied SCEA to Yale and got deferred with my previous SAT scores (and a 33 on the ACT). I’m trying to compile a list of everything that has changed since they looked at my application the first time and would like to know if a new score report should be a part of it (new SAT scores were from December).

Hmm, well I think that adscoms will already see you are good at math (by your first SAT-M score and probably your grades at school). Because it’s your reading and writing scores that are worrying you, I don’t think you should send the second set of scores, seeing as you did significantly better the first time around (especially on reading). That’s just my two cents though. Good luck!

Oh, and if it makes a difference, I already submitted my SAT II for Math II which was a 750.

I wouldn’t submit it. It would cost more, and 30 points isn’t worth is.

no… they’ll see you’re good in math… no sense in submitting again

They really do only look at your highest scores, so if you think the 30 points will make a difference, go for it.

Do it!! Why wouldn’t you??? They take the highest section scores. A 1490 is better than a 1460.

i would say do it as well, they take the composit so overall it makes you look better, and why would you just want to waist what you sepnt five hours of your saturday doing by not even sending the scores

also if yale doesnt want it they have the perogative not to look at it, let them make that decision

Your ACT is also very good, I wouldn’t have even submitted the SAT in the first place.
