To suze...

Hey suze,

As a fellow member of the Class of 2011, I’m wondering what exactly attracted you to Dartmouth. You’ve stated a number of times that it had something that you were looking for.

I’m turning down Caltech for Dartmouth, and there were certain elements on campus that made me interested at Dimensions.

Cya next year,

BB

why didnt you just PM him? ;)

you TURNED DOWN Caltech for dartmouth?!!! WHY?! :D

why should that be surprising? caltech people are generally very unhappy with the college, from what i’ve seen. Even if youre hardcore science/maths (like me) there are aspects of the study-24/7-and-still-get-a-3.1-gpa that are less than appealing. that said, i did apply early to caltech, was deferred, and pulled my app when i realized it was just going to be too hard. On the other hand, if people arent aiming for professional careers (where gpa matters more than anything), and going to college for purely academic reasons, well you would be hard pressed to find a better science/math education than the one caltech gives you.

Well I would do the same. You know choose Dartmouth. But I was the following the general trend in asking in a surprised manner! ;)
