To those that asked to be chanced

<p>I have been on this site since November 2011. In that time I have seen two application seasons and now two decision seasons. During both I was very confused by the whole chance me ordeal. Now to me it seemed as though one person that has no idea/ very nervous would ask another person/s that didn’t actually have any hard info/clue to evaluate the likelihood of said persons acceptance to whichever 4 year they had applied. </p>

<p>I just a few questions. Please take a minute to answer at least one. There was a large portion of you that asked to be chanced and I’m hoping a good portion of you will answer at least a few.</p>

<li>What made you ask?</li>
<li>Were you told by more then half that you would get into a school that you did not?</li>
<li>Did you take comfort in you answers at the time that you asked?</li>
<li>Did you create a special profile just to be chance?- i.e., you’ve used a screen name on CC but did not want to you that same name for your chance? (tons on <10 post, posters in chance threads)</li>

<p>(I had more the other day when I thought of this but I’m half drunk and tired. I will come back with more questions)</p>

<p>Maybe I’m just a jerk that doesn’t get it but I am very curious as to the point of of all the chance me posters. Please, anyone and all contribute to this.</p>

My real friends were tired of me asking them. I just wanted to hear someone give me a logic idea that I was not able to assess at the time due to my state of nerves. I wanted any feedback I could get. Anything to help soothe the nerves or help give me a realistic expectation of what would happen. Any information is helpful. </p></li>

I got into all the schools I applied to and most people said I would get in. </p></li>
